INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE FOR THE HOT COLLECTION
Place the lava stone on a cooking surface over medium heat by placing it on the flame spreader for about 30 minutes. The lava stone can be heated in the oven or barbecue for about 20 minutes at 300°. The lava stone will accumulate heat and release it intensely for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Check if the Lava Stone is ready to begin cooking by pouring a drop of water on the stone. If the water evaporates immediately, you can start cooking. It is recommended to wear heat protection on your hands when removing the lava stone from the oven and place it in the stainless steel tray.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE FOR PIZZA HOT STONE
Place the Lava stone block in the oven at 300 degrees and let it heat up for 15 to 20 minutes. Once the stone is ready to begin cooking, place the dough directly on it. To cook pizza or bread, leave the stone in the oven and set the required temperature and timing. The Lava stone of the Pizza Stone collection can be used as well for cooking meat or fish. Once the stone is hot enough, it is recommended to place it on a grill or barbecue and continue the cooking of the last two out of the oven.
ADVICE ON USE FOR THE LAVA STONE USED FOR COOKING
Before using the lava stone, it is recommended that you wash the stone with warm salty water and carefully dab the stone dry. Use a soft cloth to treat both sides of the stone with olive oil and let it rest for 4 hours before removing any excess olive oil with absorbent paper. Heat the stone by following the recommendations on p.36. Once the stone is ready to cook, we suggest you sprinkle the surface with coarse kitchen salt before any food. Cook your dishes on one side and then turn them over on the opposite side. When cooking different foods, one after the other, on the same stone, we advise you to scrub half a lemon on the surface to remove any previous aroma. Allow the Hot Stone to cool down. Avoid pouring cold water or any detergents over the stone, as it will cause thermal shock within the stone. Once the Hot Stone has completely cooled, you may clean the stone with hot water or by scrubbing the stone with lemon or white vinegar on both sides. Allow the stone to dry naturally, cover it with a soft cloth and store it in a dry place.
ADVICE ON USE FOR CERAMIC
When using for the first time, it is recommended to immerse the ceramic product in warm water for at least half an hour. It is recommended to avoid sudden changes in temperature. To preserve the product over time it is preferable to avoid contact with direct flame, then use the flame spreader. Over time and for prolonged use of ceramics, fine cracks could appear which are typical of fired terracotta, this only affects the aesthetic effect and does not in any way compromise the use of the product.
